Honeymoon JournalThursday, June 1:We returned to Bath, and were very happy to park the car and walk this time. We saw the old Roman baths, but were disappointed by the crowds - and by the disrepair of the baths themselves; with a little work, they could be functional again. We caught lunch at the famous Sally Lunn's, the oldest house in Bath - and home to Sally's famous trencher buns, which were fantastic. To cap off the afternoon, we caught a showing of "The Hobbit" at the Bath Royal Theatre -- which turned out to be a lot better than we'd expected -- and stopped for the night at a B&B just outside London. |
