Friday, May 26:
We drove down along the coast to the Dingle peninsula, gaping at gorgeous glimpses of mountains and coastline. Dingle was a cute town, so we had lunch and ice cream there. Christy wanted to take a deep-ocean wildlife tour, but it was obvious we weren't going to make it south to Kenmare and still catch our flight on Saturday, so we settled for a ferry along the coast.

Although not filled with the sealife Kenmare promised, we did see some lovely scenery, a ruined fort, and the local dolphin, Fungi. We had to convince the ferrymen to go out, though, because the water was a bit choppy - apparently most tourists don't have the stomach for the sea - but Tom found the heavy rocking so soothing that he fell asleep on the way back.
